During World War II, conquering Europe was not the only goal of the Nazis. Driven by the racial belief that the Aryan race was superior, the Nazis tried to exterminate all of the "impure" races, especially the Jews.

The Nazis began their persecution of the Jews by first sponsoring a nation-wide boycott of Jewish businessmen, and while doing so, spreading anti-Semitic propaganda. The Nazis then walled off parts of cities and created ghettos. They forced incredible amounts of people into the small ghettos and gave them few necessities. The Nazis also created concentration camps where Jews and others were sent to be either worked to death or simply killed.
"Rational antisemitism must lead to systematic legal opposition. Its final objective must be the removal of the Jews altogether."
- Adolf Hitler.
